We know that our partners want to empower their communities in the area of climate action, sustainability and biodiversity in order to undertake ambitious programmes.

What you will be doing in this role:

  • Circa 40 days training
  • Delivery of 2 hour outdoor biodiversity based workshops to 4th/5th/6th classes of 25 students that have been developed and piloted successfully already
  • 2 workshops per day for summer and Autumn terms. We would need someone who is available at least 2 and up to 4 days per week in this period from Monday to Thursday.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Qualification in Environmental Science, ecology, botany, marine biology, aquatic science or a related subject;
  • Primary school  Teaching experience discipline is favourable but not required;
  • Proficiency in GIS packages (QGIS or ArcMap);
  • Field survey experience in Ireland/UK (mammal, bat, flora);
  • Have a full clean driver’s license and access to a vehicle;
  • Strong organisational skills;
  • Clear and confident communication skills;
  • A keen eye for detail.
