An exciting and diverse opportunity in an expanding midlands based Wildlife Management Company. We are seeking suitable applicants for the role of Wildlife Management Operative, both full and part-time positions available. This role will suit a person who has a practical interest in wildlife management and also has experience of hands on work. We are a long established Wildlife Management Services Company covering all aspects of wildlife management and bird control. Most of our work is Dublin based, however we operate nationally. Job Description:

The successful applicants will be required to carry out a variety of duties.

Some of these include:

  • Installation of bird proofing
  • Implementation of complete bird management programmes including the use of birds of prey
  • Implementation of wildlife trapping programmes
  • Promotion of and devising biodiversity and conservation projects
  • Urban fox proofing work
  • Wildlife surveys and reports
  • Specialist cleaning work
  • Inactive nest removals and roof repairs
  • Mixture of residential and commercial work

Applicant Attributes:

Essential:

  • Practical understanding of wildlife management in practice
  • Respect and understanding of wildlife and also Irish and European Wildlife Legislation
  • Carpentry experience or experience of similar hands on work
  • Willingness to work at heights (training provided if required)
  • Self-motivated and ability to use own initiative
  • Good attention to detail
  • Full clean driving license and own transport
  • Physically fit for outdoor work
  • Ability to converse with clients and customers

Desirable:

  • Experience handling birds of prey
  • Experience conducting surveys and reports
  • Experience in installing bird proofing
  • Previous experience in a similar environment or relevant qualification

Full training and PPE equipment will be provided.

Flexibility in working hours, Mon-Fri with occasional weekend work.

Some early morning and late evening working may also be required

Salary commensurate with experience

Permanent position subject to successful probationary period
